A Technology & Design Experience Center
Bang & Olufsen - Pasadena, California
Female-Led Collaboration and Design Innovation
At Mia Design, we are passionate about supporting women in design and construction, so much so that it’s in our name: Mujeres in AV & Automation. So, we were honored to partner with Karen Shnorhavorian, owner of WIC: Women in Construction, and Stephanie Poole, architect and owner of Delta 3 Studio, to transform a former bridal salon into a luxury technology and design experience center.
This project took place during the pandemic in Pasadena, California, and it included a complete electrical overhaul for panelized Ketra Lighting, plus new low-voltage wiring for distributed audio and video, network system, security cameras, and a 7.4.4 Dolby Atmos theater system.
The center’s showroom features leading brands like Bang & Olufsen, Lutron, Louis Poulsen, and Roche Bobois, and the space doubles as a private event and art venue designed for immersive experiences. It’s a hub for networking with interior designers and trade partners, fostering new relationships within the design community.
We’re proud of this project and the ways in which it symbolizes the strength of women-led partnerships in technology and construction, bridging aesthetics and innovation.
